I think I’ve gotten use to the complicated route. The other shoe dropping.
Milo has been doing incredible. Since we have been home from Florida Milo has taken off in every area. And in my mama heart I know that the constant procedures and anesthesia were holding him back. Not only has this surgery seemingly been the answer to our prayers with him being able to eat and drink for the first time since October. But he is also walking, RUNNING, jumping (kind of), he has tripled the words he is saying, it seems every day he is able to do something new. He has also gained almost 5lbs! And we have been able to ween his g-tube feeds TWICE already!!! It’s incredible.
So when I got the call from Dr. Smithers office today telling me Milo’s esophagram looked great and there is NO immediate need for a dilation. That we will have a repeat esophagram in a couple of months. Why was I shocked?! Why was I expecting bad news?
This is a huge win for us all. I am so proud of us for making this hard decision. For doing our research, and taking a chance. We made the right decision, and he is walking talking proof of it.
And I’m just here crying happy tears SO proud.
That is amazing! So happy for you and Milo!
